We sing this song at our new church almost every week but each time the words choke me up and bring tears to my eyes. I hope this touches you today.

Lynn, this is a beautiful song, such a reminder of how Jesus took our place. I will never forget one day at church, we were all lined up to walk to the front of the church to take communion. They were playing a video clip similar to this one. I noticed we were all in a line and as each person got to the front they were given the cup and bread and then they walked back to their seat. I then realized what had happened for us. It was like we were all lined up, slowly making our way, one by one, to the cross. WE were going to be crucified, each one of us for our sin. The weight of this hit me. Then I saw what happened. As each one of us eventually made it to the front of the line, instead of the cross, we were each given the cup, Jesus blood, and the bread, His own body. Instead of each of us paying for our own sins, He paid the price, died the death we ought to have died. And He gives us His life.
2 Cor. 5:14-15 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And He died for all, that those who live should no longer llive for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.
Let’s live for Jesus and seek Him and obey Him everyday!
